He began his career as a travel agency operator specializing in Komodo Island tours, where he quickly built a strong reputation and gained the trust of many travelers. The agency he led, 17Tour Agency, grew rapidly and attracted numerous international visitors eager to explore the beauty of Komodo Island.

As demand continued to grow, Lalu Agus expanded his business into boat operations by acquiring the Pulau Mas boat. At the time, the vessel had a poor reputation and negative reviews under its previous management. Through operational improvements, better service standards, and strong management, he successfully transformed the boat into a trusted and popular choice among travelers visiting Komodo National Park.

Komodo Indonesia Tours later expanded with the involvement of Jozhua Heng, a business partner and former colleague of Lalu Agus from Australia. He joined the company as a shareholder and contributed to the development of the company’s website, online booking systems, and digital platforms, helping the business reach a wider international market and operate more professionally.
